HI Mark,

I used AD 5.0.5.

Currently we are trying to connect LDAP on Dot Net Nuke 7, Unfortunately, Access To Global Catalog is always FAIL.

We have also tried Inputting on Root Domain

  1. DC=DomainName,DC=com
  2. DC=DomainName,DC=local

For this one error is object not set to reference.

We have also read some forum about this kind of issue but we failed to get the right answer.

BTW, Sophos is installed in our Server, But we have checked already and LDAP/Active Directory is already enabled in it.

Hello, I am still having issues with DNN 7.2.1 and this release on Windows 2008 R2 using Hashed passwords. I have attempted to fix the issue in source, and if successful would be happy to contribute the source, but I am not sure how to setup the references to support both DNN 6.x and DNN 7.x since it seems the DNN 7.x versions no longer use DotNetNuke.Membership.DataProvider.dll referenced in the project. As a result, it appears that the DotNetNuke.Security.Membership.Data namespace and the DataProvider located there in previous versions is no longer present in DNN 7.2. I tried changing the DotNetNuke reference and removed the DataProvider only to realize that there are additional API differences. Should we fork the source for DNN 7.2+? Has anyone started next major release? I would be willing to volunteer some time and code toward this end.

Thanks.

I am going out on a bit of a limb here hoping to revive this thread.  The problem I am having is when I setup active directory authentication it works fine the first time but after I successfully log in one time using a windows domain username it no longer accepts that login.  If I go into user management on my site I can strip that user back out of the website and then it will allow me to log back in again with that username, but as soon as I log back out it will not work again.

I am running DNN 7.2.2

SQL Express 2012 SP1 11.0

Windows 8.1 Pro with IIS 7.5

.NET Framework 4.0

I have the same issue as you, and from reading up I'd say there are quite a few of us.  One was reported just today, and there are 7 votes for what seems to be the same issue.  I am trying an older version of DNN and an upgrade path like what is described in one of the threads and will let you know if I find something that works.

I have an older 4.0 site with AD on it.  I copied this site to a new virtual server (2012 R2) , upgraded through all steps till I got to DNN 7.04.01, upgraded the Active Directory to 5.0.6, followed every document on this site to get Active Directory working.  Nothing seems to work.  Just want my site to automatically log a person in.  What can I do next?  If it won't work, please tell me why.  Thanks!
