Hello,

I am developing a module for my application. I am right now using it into site as per adding module into site and providing its module definition  and control files. However for further use, I would like to create package of this module. So I will directly install in under extensions and module will be ready for use. This is like standard modules we are getting from vendors.

Is there any proper reference, documentation where I can get information about creating package of module.

 Thanks,
Avinash

Hi Avinash,

You can use DNN wizard to create a module package:

In extensions page, click the "Edit" button in front of your module, and you will see the "Create Package" button in the pop-up page, click it and follow the steps.

Hi Eileen,

I am looking for it just in another way.
I would like to create a installable package, where I will just go into site and from installation wizard will install that package.

I went through some of blogs where it can be achieved by MSBuild script or so but not getting proper entry point.

 Thanks & Regards,
Avinash

Hi

Eileen is right. Its there. But i have a problem.
I set up an enviroment for version 6.2.2, developed a module and now when going to create package, the Create Package option is not there.
Then i again set up another enviroment for the same version and copy paste my module codes to the new enviroment. Now i can see the "Create Packgae" option there and created the Package successfully.
Looks like problem was with the installation for the former one.

My Q is that is there any way so that i can reset the former one so that the "Create Package" option will come .

Any help is appreciated

Thanks,
