For about two weeks now we've been trying to test out an intranet - dnn hosted - site.  The main linchpin for this is to get AD integrated so employees can just go to the url and be logged in.  Simple right?  Wrong.

The Current Results -

Users who do not currently have a registered account receive a redirect error each time they go to the log in page.

What was done -

Before we installed the AD log in, two users were created.  One for hosting and one for testing.  This worked fine, but again we needed AD to work for this to launch.  So we installed the AD Module.  After configuring it properly, users were able to log in under the "Windows Login" button and be logged in.  However, after they had done that, each time they logged in again they had to use the regular log in.  We wanted to just have it work like its supposed to.  We disabled Form Authentication from IIS and assumed that it would work just fine.  Wrong.

Basically, what we feel is happening is DNN is not recognizing any user that wasn't registered before the AD/Forms Disabling was done.  This presents a problem as we just want the user to be logged in based on the AD account.

What are we doing wrong that's making this so difficult?  It feels like this is a simple check-box solution that we just aren't doing.  We've searched all over the web for solutions (and tried most of them - if not all).  If anyone has a few minutes to run us through some simple checks to make sure we did this right I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!
