I just ran into a glitch that I had hit a long time ago.

when trying to output the script call inline, the page doesn't not like a self closed tag:

<script src="/Portals/0/Skins/wga-Gravity/pwi/js/jquery.pwi-min.js" type="text/javascript" />

has to be this

<script src="/Portals/0/Skins/wga-Gravity/pwi/js/jquery.pwi-min.js" type="text/javascript" ></script>

or the page considers it an open script tag and the rest of the page disappears into it.

but the xslt parser automatically detects that there is nothing in the tag and turns it into a self closing one that then eats the page.

so I use this; put a escaped   into it so the closing tag stays put.

<script src="/Portals/0/Skins/wga-Gravity/pwi/js/jquery.pwi-min.js" type="text/javascript" >&amp;nbsp;</script>

Your code snippets look interesting.

As to your hack I found another way of dealing with self closing tag as below:

<xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"><![CDATA[<script src="/Portals/0/Skins/wga-Gravity/pwi/js/jquery.pwi-min.js" type="text/javascript" ></script>]]></xsl:text>

Yet yours is cleaner.
