I'm new with DNN, but I'm enjoying working with it and learning how it works. I'm making a website for a church and want to be able to upload sermons for people to view on the site. I want to keep older sermons also, so I need to create a playlist or easy way for viewers to be able to choose which sermon they want to watch. With the Media Module that comes with DNN, is there a way to create a playlist with it? If not, can someone recommend a media player that will do this?

This is my first post here. I appreciate any help with this question. I'm sure I'll have more.

The built-in Media Module wasn't originally intended to act as a playlist, but that doesn't mean that it can't function that way in the future.  If this is an enhancement that you'd like to see, please add it to the Media Module Issue Tracker.

That being said, many people like to use the Ultra Video Gallery for this kind of feature.  You can see this in action on this very site, as we use it for the Community Video Library.

If the Media Module works well, I'd like to see it have a playlist option. I haven't used Media Module yet though. I'll add a request for playlist to the Issue Tracker.

With Ultra Video Gallery, I noticed it has youtube, vimeo and another file type for the videos you have in the library here. Is it designed to handle all of these? I'd probably be adding sermons in avi or flv. Thanks for the information.

Great site with helpful info. I've already learned something new.

I think the UVG handles all kinds of video types.  The media module will handle the social media types in the next version. Not sure when I can get the next version out the door though.

Does the Ultra Video Gallery require any coding that I'd have to do manually to install or create a playlist? I unfortunately have very little knowledge in that area.
