If the files aren't secured, Google will index the contents of those files.

...so I stood up a new 7.4 instance and the search is behaving as expected - the title of the document listed in the documents module gets listed in the search results.  The difference between the two instances are that one was a clean install and the other (that doesn't work) is an upgrade from 7.2.n.  This is very confusing indeed.

it sounds like an upgrade of a stored procedure has not properly been executed. Do you see any error in the .log.resources files in /providers/dataproviders/sqldataprovider folder?

The log files are empty.  Are there tables that i can look at, truncate or "massage" to rectify this?
