OK now I was able to log into one of my portals... maybe closing my browsers or waiting a few days made the difference not sure...

On this portal it says EMAIL ADDRESS: for username however I was only able to log in via the username. So i see that the new system takes the "Email" and enters it into the "Username" field during registration.  Why not just use the current "Email" feild it would not have a problem and no one would have to enter this twice although during registration it would not be a bad idea to ensure the email is properly entered in twice.

I found this to be the problem with trying to log into my account after switching to email I figured it would just look at the "Email" feild for the log in name.

I was actually happy to see it use my regular username as well. I would LOVE for it to do BOTH. For some people using a username is better than typing in a email address repeatedly. For remembering its sure better to use the email address setting however still my vote is for like what Yahoo and other websites use which is both the use of a username and email address to log into the same account.

I believe your headed in the right direction here but I dont agree with not having a username id. There should even be an account number in my opinion where you have a username, email and account number you can log in with. GoDaddy is an example of this method.

I believe all three with ways to set them according to the webmasters desire would be second to none :)

I am still having issues loging into other portals I have switched and I have treid both username and password repeatedly however this one portal actually allowed me to use my username to log in (but not my email address)
