SunBriteTV Uses InnestoNuke™ to Integrate DNN Professional Edition and AspDotNetStorefront™ to Power New eCommerce Site
San Mateo, CA – April 24, 2012 – DotNetNuke Corp., the global leader in adaptive web software that keeps a business’ online presence relevant and effective, today announced that SunBriteTV, the leading maker of high-end LCD televisions specifically designed and built from the ground up for the outdoor environment, has selected the DotNetNuke Web Content Management System (WCMS) to create an entirely new eCommerce-enabled website. The new site provides a vital eCommerce business channel with rich content, customizable catalogs and price lists, and shopping cart capabilities designed to meet the needs of distributors and direct-buy customers.
SunBriteTV’s innovative products are hot commodities with celebrities as well as with high profile sports venues like Fenway Park in Boston, the Miami Marlins new ball park and Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA. As SunBriteTV’s reputation grew, the company struggled to scale with an outdated, brochure-only website. Following in-depth discussions and evaluations of various proposals, SunBriteTV and Ethos Solutions, a local technology solution provider, decided to create an entirely new eCommerce-enabled site based on DotNetNuke Professional Edition and the AspDotNetStorefront shopping cart solution. Using InnestoNuke from Brilliance Business Solutions, a DotNetNuke partner, to integrate the two platforms, SunBriteTV worked with Ethos Solutions to build a robust eCommerce solution.
“In order to grow effectively, we needed a dynamic, eCommerce-enabled website for dealers as well as individual customers,” said James Buch, CEO of SunBriteTV. “We wanted a new site that would make it easy to manage content, could provide a full complement of eCommerce capabilities and offered technology that would help us enhance our brand through discussion boards and by linking to social media.”
Ethos Solutions needed a robust eCommerce platform that could provide standard tools and blend easily with DotNetNuke’s WCMS to support the easy transition of pricing, product descriptions and other information. To accomplish this, Ethos Solutions used AspDotNetStorefront, a shopping cart solution that provides a vast array of eCommerce features. Ethos Solutions also used InnestoNuke to provide a shared authentication technology that that allows visitors to move between the SunBrite TV store and pages setup in DotNetNuke with a seamless experience.
“We did not have any online commerce in the past, but the day after the new website went live, we had orders coming in,” said Buch. “The new website built on DotNetNuke and the related eCommerce products is exponentially better than what we had in the past. It is a key component in the transformation of our business.”
“Being able to effectively fill orders online is critical for many businesses,” stated Mitch Bishop, CMO for DotNetNuke Corp. “Like many of our customers, SunBriteTV was able to move fast by using one of the thousands of off-the-shelf apps readily available in our Store and by leveraging a strong partner ecosystem to get the work done.”
