SAN MATEO, CA (Oct 23, 2013) - DNN (formerly DotNetNuke), whose solutions enable marketers to build and manage social websites, and B2B social marketing agency Leadtail, today announced a new study: "How B2B Marketers Engage on Twitter." This special study delivers social media insights into how B2B marketers are engaging on Twitter, including what they talk about, the types of content they share, and which vendors and people influence them most. Additionally, the report covers:

  • Which social networks are B2B marketers active on
  • How they describe themselves in their bios
  • What hashtags they like to use
  • What top content sources they consistently share
  • Which publications, vendors, and people they retweet the most

The report also lists the top 50 people, such as Vala Afshar, Jay Baer and Michael Brenner, and vendors, such as Hubspot, Salesforce and Eloqua, most frequently mentioned by B2B marketers on Twitter.

"B2B marketers are business leaders focused on using social media to showcase their skills and expertise, and this report offers actionable insights into their social activities," said Carter Hostelley, CEO of Leadtail. "It's a great starting point for those that want to reach, engage, and influence this extremely valuable group of decision makers."

To get these insights, Leadtail summarized the actual Twitter activity of 500 B2B marketers using its Social Insights Technology, including 113,039 tweets and 70,245 links shared during a 90-day period from June 1 to August 31, 2013.

"We've enjoyed our collaboration with Leadtail. We're excited to share these insights, as they reflect the larger movement of businesses going social," said Dennis Shiao, director of product marketing at DNN.
