Recently I upgraded to 9.1 and I get popups for login and registration now. In previous versions, there was an option to disable popup support - per site or per extension afaik - but I can't seem to find this setting anymore. I have a dev installation of the same site and popups are disabled there.

Does somebody know how to disable popup support in 9.1?

As an alternative I would use the popups. But I also use a prominent button to the login, this button navigates to ./login.aspx?returnurl=your-portfolios. When I use this, I get no popup. But if I use popups for the Login / User Registration, then I would like to use a popup for this button, too.

This is the site in question: http://www.aivest.com

Most likely there is still a PortalSetting that will allow you to do that manually directly on the database, however as I'm not sure which option as that one, my suggestion is to go to Settings / Site Settings / Site Behavior / Default Pages you should set the Login Page and the Registration Page so that both links will point to these pages instead of the popup.

Be aware that the login page needs to have the "Account Login" module on it and the registration page need to have the "Account Registration" module on it as well.

Best regards,

Aderson

Thank you, Anderson. In the meantime I found out that the Popups actually work for me, since they are responsive and work good for mobile devices.

To enable popups on my dev machine, I tried executing

UPDATE [dbo].[PortalSettings]

SET SettingValue = 'True'

WHERE SettingName = 'EnablePopups'

AND PortalID =  -- insert your PortalID here

but that did not do anything after restart and clearing cache - not sure where the "use popups" setting for login/registration is hiding.

Hi,

I think it is simply missing in the Persona Bar - as many other settings as well.

Happy DNNing!
