Hi,

I am not a web developer and am inexperienced with DNN.  For whatever reason, the UsersOnline module on my website (www.bostonvirtualatc.com) is not working.  It displays 0 members and 0 registered users are online, even though there are several people logged in.  Furthermore, when I view the Admin > User Accounts tab, I can see there are several users online (they have the little blue icon beside the account).  However, if I try to filter "User Accounts" to view only those online (by clicking "Online" at the top), no users are displayed. I'm very confused.

The troublesome module and the Admin tab are both restricted to administrators, so if someone could contact me directly I would be able to provide a password and username for an administrator account that could be used to look into the problem further.

Thanks,

Evan

please make sure to uncheck "disable users online" option in Host :: Host Settings module item.

Afterwards, you may verify in Host :: Scheduler the Job PurgeUsersOnline is enabled.

Hi,

I can't seem to find "Host".  I have an "Admin" tab with Site Settings in it, but there's no section about "Host Settings" nor can I find "disable users online" or "Scheduler".  Should there be a "Host" tab at the top? Maybe a different version?

I can also provide you with a login so you can view the Admin tab and Site Settings modules yourself.

As I said before, I'm not skilled at all with web design, MySQL, MS SQL, or DNN.  Sorry if I've asked a stupid question, and thanks a lot for the help so far.

Something else to think about -- the module was working fine the other day. Then it just suddenly stopped working.  Now it's started displaying only SOME users.  At the moment, it appears to be 'frozen' with one registered member displayed (even though I'm logged in, it doesn't seem to count me logging in on a separate computer with a separate account) and 2 non-members.  I'm not sure what could cause this...

you need to login using a different account (username "host" by default") to get the host menu displayed.
