Hi,
We're looking to migrate a good number of sites and are looking for a reliable host. We want to be able to manage our customers, and ideally, bill them from the control panel interface through our merchant account. I doubt we will find this and can handle our own billing in any case.

Based on what I've read on the various posts, I'm looking at 3essentials.com and powerdnn.com . Powerdnn seems to be more geared to enterprise sites and has more features such as self managed backups.

The 3essentials uses the plesk control panel, which they say allows you to manage your own backups. Has anyone used the plesk baskup features and are they adequate?

Do both of these hosts have automated DNN installs?

Also what is the best way to migrate existing SQLDB's to these hosts. I will be calling both companies as soon as they open, but was wondering if any people have direct experience.

I have been with 3Essentials for a long time now and have not had any problems with them.

I know that both 3Essentials and PowerDNN offer automated dnn installations, I personally have not used them so I cannot say how well they work.

I will say that 3Essentials customer support is top notch.  I don't use their plesk backup management, but do have them provide backups to me at given times.

Transfering databases is really easy, you just have to have a .bak file and they can restore it to their servers.

I am also looking for hoster also...I am going to transfer my site to new place. Becasue I want DNN be one of my business in the future. So I am also need to good DNN support.

But I found most hoster only support restore SQL DB from .bak file. This is not work for the site they are running on SQL Express before, becasue SQL express doesn't add a real database into it main thread. Doesn't anybody have a idea to this issue? Transfer to main thread then backup???

Best at what price?  Personally, MaximumASP is a winner, as is ORCSWeb.  But you won't get  $15 a month reseller plan through either one of those.  On the other hand, you do get what you pay for.

I have some strange vision about MaximumASP, because I am from Taiwan....Actually I feel dotnetnuke.com's connection speed is quite slower after they move to MaximumASP. According to my research, MaximumASP is the most expensive hosting company around DNN site I can found. I guess he uses better server and provide high level data safty but not good at it's speed.

I am from Taiwan so I want to find a good DNN hoster that have a good connection speed to Taiwan. If you have such information, please share with me....

I just try easyCGI's VPS plan recently...I goal is to transfer my site to a new hoster. But unfortunately easyCGI's basic VPS plan can't support my case....But I feel good about their support.

My next target is to try their advance X4 plan and PowerDNN business plan....

If you have any suggestion for me....Please give me some idea....Thank you~~
