Containers are considered 'wrapper's of modules within a DotNetNuke page.
A container must contain two elements to properly function as follow:

  • ContentPane
  • Module Actions

Some basic characteristics of containers
  • Consist of HTML
  • Consist of CSS
  • Provide a single Pane for the content from a Module
  • Easily configurable through a web browser
  • Defined at the Portal, Page, Module or Pane Level
  • Installable as an extension to DNN
