I'm developing a custom module and wanted to install the latest version on my local development server to gauge progress and track issues.  I created a new public page and tried to add the installed module to the page.  When clicking the plus sign on the edit section of the page for the custom module, the module is not added.  A check of the admin logs shows the following:

While this doesn't appear to be specific to my custom module, I'm not certain what's causing the error or how to rectify?  Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sid

this seems to be caused by the system when trying to load all modules on the page. does this happen as well, if you uninstall your module?
Did you check moduledefinitions and modulecontrols settings in Extensions?

Hi Sebastian,

Apologies for the tardy response.  I'm using Chris Hammond's module template and found an errant View.ascx that was in the DNN file but a file by that name did not exist in the solution.  I edited the DNN file, uninstalled the module and reinstalled it.  An error occurred when attempting to place the module on page:

I know this is a different error but am still unsure what is needed to remedy the issue?

Thanks,

Sid

this is an error from upgrade module procedure. Please make sure, all modules from the template are included in your package.
A new template has been released today, see http://www.dnnsoftware.com/community-...

Hi Sebastian,

Thanks for sending this over.  I reviewed the link you provided but did not see support for web forms modules in that module templating command line solution.  Can Chris Hammond's template still be used, or are they no longer being supported?  Please elaborate a bit further as to what needs to be updated - a change to a different module development template system, or an update to Chris Hammond's module template.

Thanks,

Sid
