I'm attempting to create a completely new skin using html, css, javascript, and some bootstrap. Everything was going well and it looks just like how I wanted it to. However, the Edit-Bar of the admin UI disappeared and after rolling back to a point where I could find it, the Module Selection box was about 800 pixels lower than it was supposed to be, causing it to be off-screen and un-usable.

The Module Selection box seems to be pushed down by my navigation bars and I'm still trying to find the cause of my missing Edit-Bar.

If you are using a fixed top Bootstrap menu, add this:

css - //DNN admin menu

#ControlBar { //DNN7

        height: 53px !important;

}

.navbar-fixed-top.admin {

        top: 53px;

        z-index: 9;

and js

if ($('form').hasClass('showControlBar')) $('.navbar-fixed-top').addClass('admin');

jQuery was causing the error, I didn't include it properly.

This helped me fix mostly everything: http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/jquery
