Hello

I am running DNN 7.4.2 with Turbo Scripts and am having an issue with the member directory search. I have a profile field called usertype and am filtering the member list by the value in usertype. The list displays correctly however basic and advanced search do not return results. If I remove the filter and set it to no filter, it works fine including autofill. I thought it might be view permissions on the new profile field but it is set to public. This is a single portal install.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Carl

Carl,
I am not aware of any special treatment of a user property named "userType".
I suggest using Host > SQL module to nail it down.
please modidy GetUsersAdvancedSearch sproc by adding the following line before the last one ("Execüte sp_execütesql @strSQL,..." - I need to modify the statement here to avoid it being filtered):
SELECT @strSQL;

Now execute this sproc:
Execüte {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}GetUsersAdvancedSearch] 0, 1, Null, Null, Null, 1, 1000, 0, N'UserName', 1, Null, Null

Hi Sebastian

I did as you suggested and ran the sproc from host>sql and the first query generated the sql and the second appeared to return all users which is the unfiltered view of the member list.

In the module settings for the member directory there are options for filters and sorting. I set the filter to filter by Profile Property and selected a custom profile property defined as UserType - one of the types is partner. this works ok. only partners show is the list. The basic or advanced search doesn't appear to work and I just discovered that if I set the filter option to No Filter which returns all members, I can use basic search, autocomplete works and I can even do a partial search argument. So instead of dotnetnuke I can search for dotnet and all members that contain dotnet return.

If I change the filter to anything else (user, group, relationship) autocomplete does not work and partial search arguments do not work. If I enter the full search argument, then it returns a result.

So it appears that the filter is not being handled?

Thanks for you help and response to this.

Carl,
there are issues with the module, but to nail it down, I suggest using SQL Server Profiler and capture the calls and the parameters used. I might have an issue in processing the parameter values in my versions of the sproc.
