my scheduled log purge is failing with several log entry messages, but the most relevant seemed to be this one. I can't remember if this part of the core dnn or an add-on I picked up along the way. if is part of the dnn product, and the naming of components strongly suggests that it si, does anyone have an explanation for the failure? I am running dnn 8.0.1.

Wonder if this is now broke since the removal of sitelog module from DNN 8.x? If the module is now removed maybe the upgrade should remove the schedule task if exists?

you may manually purge the whole content of sitelog table:
In Host > SQL run the following statement:
TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}SiteLog]
