Respected Mam/Sir

I want to use DotNetNuke DLL in my separate asp.net project for getting users information, Using same DNN database (DNN website is working). That means database will be same for DNN website and my separate website so just want to use DNN inbuilt library/functions/methods and manage user.

Our Goal: We want to reduce traffic from our DNN website, so that we want to manage admin functionality for custom modules from separate asp.net website instead core DNN website.

Is it possible to add DNN DLL into my separate asp.net project and access all inbuilt DNN method like user info, enable/disable user etc.?

If yes then please give me suggestion what resources will have to add in asp.net project, Also suggest if any other possibility to achieve this?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Sourabh S. Malani

Theoretically you could do this, as DNN is supposed to be a framework. You have to copy the needed DLLs in your bin folder, and maybe define the database connection in the web.config file if you need it.

Please do not ask me for more details, I never tried this.

Happy DNNing!
