Trying to delete a site from my portal.

DNN returns the following error:

"The DELETE statement conflicted with the REFERENCE constraint "FK_TabPermission_Roles". The conflict occurred in database "DNN_AuroraNZ", table "dbo.TabPermission", column 'RoleID'. The statement has been terminated."

Can some-one please explain the issue to me and how to resolve it. DNN v7.4.1

How did you try to delete the portal? Did you use the Site Management page under the Host menu?

There are some previous reports of this error, so the discussion at http://www.dnnsoftware.com/forums/thr... might be of help.

I don't know if this has been resolved in more recent releases of DNN.

If you try any of these suggestions, ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP of your installation before doing anything.

there is no cascading delete from roles to TabPermissions due to an existing cascade from Tabs to TabsPermissions.
You would Need to delete all Portal Tabs using SQL delete first.
