Hi Experts

This is something very strange for me is that I am not able to use the staging site which was working since long and now is saying throwing the following error for each module controls :

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.Exceptions - DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Unhandled error loading page. ---> System.Web.HttpParseException: The file '/DesktopModules/SignUpSkinObject/SignUpSkinObject.ascx' does not exist. ---> System.Web.HttpParseException: The file '/DesktopModules/SignUpSkinObject/SignUpSkinObject.ascx' does not exist. ---> System.Web.HttpException: The file '/DesktopModules/SignUpSkinObject/SignUpSkinObject.ascx' does not exist.

NOTE : The Module development is as compiled and the DNN version is 7.3.1 and I am using VS 2013

I dont know why compiler is not able to recognize the module controls location. Also I tried to load the website from Local IIS and tried to run the website directly from VS, but then it has given a compilation error that "The file '/DesktopModules/DDRMenu/Menu.ascx' does not exist." whereas it exist like other module controls.

Please let me know if you need any further information for investigation. I am with this error since 2 days now. Please I need a experts to suggest me something where i was wrong.

Thank you

Sachin Srivastava

usually, those files need to be included on the server, are you able to locate them?
Did you check file system permission for the Account used by ASP.NET (as specified in Advanced Settings of the IIS App Pool)?

Yes Sebastian, I can access them through RDC and they do exists to the given path, and yes the permission are all correct as per the basic setup and the site was working since long. The error started when i uploaded the source code of one of the module to outside of the website folder and compiled the dll to be generated on website's bin and nothing else, just after this the site started showing this issue. Not sure where I went wrong.

Thank you for the quick response

Sachin Srivastava
