Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with setting up enhanced link attribution for Google Analytics.

I've implemented the tracking code using site/admin/google-anayltics

I just put the tracking code (UA-XXX-X) in the 'tracking id' field, as adding the 'script' code into the 'url' parameter field created a string of nonsense across the top of the page. This seems to be working fine, and is giving me top line data as expected.

However, I need to be able to identify exactly which links are working on my home page on 'in page' view on Google analytics.

Google tells me that I need to add a tag to the page to make this happen:

https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2558867?hl=en

As per their instructions it seems that I need to add this tag below somewhere to the page:

ga('require', 'linkid', 'linkid.js');

If that is right, can someone tell me exactly where I need to put this?

I'm a self-taught DNN practitioner, so if possible not too much technical language please?

Many thanks in advance for your help and support!

Try using the Page Settings-> Advanced -> Page Header Tags to add your javascript....

If that gives you a problem then you might try using the content injector module to place the script at the bottom of the page.

Make sure to your code is wrapped in script tags like below.

<script type="text/javascript>

ga('require', 'linkid', 'linkid.js');

</script>
