I have a form on the left of a page and a report on the right. When the form is submitted, I'd like the report to be refreshed. How can I cause the report to be refreshed/requeried?

The easiest way would be for to do a response.redirect to the page after the postback of your form, that way the page cycle loads from the start and reports will load fresh data

Thank you Cathal. That does work great. A new requirement was to be able to refresh the report without refreshing the entire page and the other forms on it. I was able to accomplish this by setting up a button with some javascript.

The html looks like this:

[button onclick="$('#dnn_ctr1571_ViewReports_Visualizer_grdResults').load(document.URL + ' #dnn_ctr1571_ViewReports_Visualizer_grdResults');return false; "]Refresh Report[/button]

(note, in the html above, substitute an < or > in for the occurrences of [ and ] )

Get the ID of the div for the report you want to refresh by viewing the page source.

-For Reports using HTML template, look for dnn_ctrXXXX_ViewReports_Visualizer_pnlContent (XXXX is the ModuleID)

-If your Reports module is using the basic gridview output, it will be dnn_ctrXXXX_ViewReports_Visualizer_grdResults

To see how to refresh the report on a timer, see the following post.
