Hi, I'm new into DNN 7 skinning and i'm trying to customize the search bar.

All i want is the search bar to look like a simple Bootstrap 3 search bar with a an icon to the right. But i get weird results when trying this.

Is there any guide to get this. I looked at Tracy's advise here but i don't know how to implement that xml. Please help pointing me in the right way to achieve this.

Thanks

If you're skinning with ascx files don't worry about the XML approach.  All of the options are implemented in the SEARCH Tag.

Here is a great resource for all of the DNN tags and options.  Not sure how up to date it is, however.

Thanks a lot David, that's a great resource and sure it will help me in the future too.

I'm using Ascx. I got the style working, but, in a not so clean way.

I'm wondering if there's an elegant way to skin the "Submit" button with bootstrap3; because the way I did it was by hiding it with css and use my own button. (I just copy pasted the java script from the original "Submit")

Hello! did you find any more resources on this? I am trying to do the same thing. I went on the 10poundgorilla link, but that didnt explain very much to me. I can't find where to edit the look of the search module.
