Hi

I am working on a Razor Script using the RazorHost module in DNN.
For some reason, the DNN Razor Helper is throwing a null exceptions when referencing the helper objects.

EG:

    <ul>
	<li>Name: @Dnn.Tab.TabName</li>
	<li>Id: @Dnn.Tab.TabID</li>
	<li>Path: @Dnn.Tab.TabPath</li>
</ul>

Do I need to reference something else on the page?

Thanks
Ray

Hi Ray,

I just tried that script in a new module instance and it worked. What version of DNN are you running? Does this happen with all of the helper objects? What about just this line:

@Dnn.GetType().ToString();

Hi Mike

Thanks for the reply.

I am using DNN Evoq Content version 07.03.03 which comes with RazorHost V 7.3.3.

I tried @Dnn.GetType().ToString() and it throws the same null exception error. So something is not getting initialized somewhere down the line. I also tried using the _TabInfo.cshtml and it throws the same error in debug mode.

Is there anything else that needs to be added to the web.config?

Mine looks like the following:

<system.web.webPages.razor>
    <pages pageBaseType="DotNetNuke.Web.Razor.DotNetNukeWebPage">
      <namespaces>
        <add namespace="WebMatrix.Data" />
        <add namespace="Microsoft.Web.Helpers" />
      </namespaces>
    </pages>
  </system.web.webPages.razor>

Thanks

Ray

Hello,

Weird - sorry - I don't know. I looked through my config file for razor references and I have the same section. There's also this piece in <configuration><configSections>...

    <sectionGroup name="system.web.webPages.razor" type="System.Web.WebPages.Razor.Configuration.RazorWebSectionGroup, System.Web.WebPages.Razor">

      <section name="pages" type="System.Web.WebPages.Razor.Configuration.RazorPagesSection, System.Web.WebPages.Razor" requirePermission="false" />

    </sectionGroup>

Beyond that - no idea... Sorry I can't help more.

Mike
