Hello,

In my DNN site, I am having files of sizes upto 3 GB.  Some files are less than 1 GB. The files of size less than 1 GB are not having problems. But the files of size greater than 1 GB are shown in negative values. For example, for a file of size around 2.7 GB is showing the file size as "-1,509,292,828.0 B". How can we fix it? Any kind of help would be great.

 The DNN version is 7.4.0.

Thanks and Regards,
Dazzlers

Hello

Any one has any idea about why this happens? Please help.

this is a known issue (already reported), due to DNN using int32 and not int64 for sizes - and int32 has a range from approx. -2 bn to 2 bn, i.e. sizes between 2 and 4 bn are interpreted as negative values, larger values will result in an overflow. This Needs to be fixed in DNN core Framework.

Hello Sebastian,

Thank you so much for the update. What should be done at the DNN core framework. Is there any files which I need to edit? I was looking in to the Filemanager.ascx file where the File size variable used by the table to show the File size was set to Int32. I tried to change it to Int64 but it didn't fix it. Any advice would be great.

Thanks,
Dazzlers.

I assume, it is not only the file manager, but also FileSystem Utilities in the core framework, which need to be modified and DotNetNuke.dll being recompiled.
