Recently upgraded from V 5.0.0 to 6.1.1 (DNN 7.3.3)

Adding Categories to posts (Blog > Manage > Posts > Select Post to Edit > Summary and Metadata) Select Parent and 1 sub category Save. The following error:

Error: is currently unavailable. DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Blog.Integration.NotificationController.PostPendingApproval(BlogInfo objBlog, PostInfo objPost, Int32 portalId, String summary, String title) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Blog.PostEdit.cmdSave_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

However the Category data is written. If I go back to edit the post the categories are checked and the counters record the increase. Is the error a hangover from V5?  And if so how to be rid of it?
