Hi,

I have to track which of the user-roles deleted by admin through SQL server DB.

If Admin deleted a userrole for a user, I noticed that there is an hard deletion of record from the dbo.UserRoles table. I am unable to trace the userrole records which are deleted by Admin.

I need to track the deleted Userrole records and updated time. Please suggest how to do that.

you may create a log table and add an insert statement into DeleteUserRole:

CREATE TABLE {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}UserRoleLog]
( LogID int identity Not Null,
UserID int not Null,
RoleID Int not Null,
DeletedAtDate date,
CONSTRAINT PK_objectQualifier}UserRoleLog Primary Key Clustered (LogID ASC)
)
GO
ALTER PROCEDURE {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}DeleteUserRole]
@UserId Int, -- not Null
@RoleId Int -- not Null
AS
BEGIN
DELETE FROM databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}UserRoles]
WHERE UserId = @UserId
AND RoleId = @RoleId;
IF @@RowCount > 0
INSERT INTO {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}UserRoleLog](UserID, RoleID, DeletedAtDate) VALUES (@UserId, @RoleId, GetDate)
END
GO
