Hi,

I have a requirement that all unregistered users are deleted at a certain time of day, ie. an automated version of the button "Delete Unauthorised Users" button on the Admin -> Users screen.

Could someone please give me some assistance in firstly finding out what SQL query and/or code runs behind this button, and secondly how to create a scheduled task in the Host -> Scheduler to run this. On the create scheduled task screen it asks for the full class name and assembly, This is the full class name followed by the assembly name. Example: "DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.PurgeUsersOnline, DOTNETNUKE"

Would I have to create my own assembly, and inside the code leverage the 'Delete Unathorised Users' code somehow? How could I restrict this to only 1 portal in the installation?

Or, any other ideas on how to achieve this requirement (from within DNN) would be great.

Many thanks

Rob

Cathal,
Declan is just soft-deleting the users, if I understand Rob correctly, he wants to purge them completely.

ah, you're correct - still Declan's code will be opensourced I believe, so will help as a basis for Rob's needs

Thanks Cathal, that post is great and exactly what I needed as a start point for implementing something very similar.
Cheers
