I am trying to set my copyright line in Admin»Site Settings»Basic Settings»Site Details»Copyright to use a two digit year. The client wants it to read something like this -

© Copyright 2010-15

This produces a 4 digit year -

© Copyright 2010-[year]

Obviously I could just write it in but I'm looking to avoid having to remember to change it every year. Is there a way to achieve this?

Cheers Al

AFAIK there is only a variable for 4 digit year and no formatting option, sorry.
You might need to update it manually every January ;)

1. Create a customized version of the Copyright object. It shouldn't be that difficult.
2. Replace the copyright skin object with an HTML module (use jQuery to change the date)
3. Use a Razor Host module to do it.

The only problem with the module approach that that da**ed "display on all pages" mess.

I'd personally go with #1.

The code is: lblCopyright.Text = PortalSettings.FooterText.Replace("[year]", DateTime.Now.Year.ToString()); and you can easily change that to use any format you choose.
