I installed DNN on a local IIS with connection to a remote database, then uploaded DNN's installed files to a remote host (the database is same). now every thing is ok except that I can't log in  to the remote DNN with the usernames I have created by local DNN. both DNNs are using one database and as I know all usernames' info is saved in the database, so why I can log in with the local one and can't with the remote one? is there anything machine specific when passwords are saving to the database (like mashine ID as a key for encrypting passwords) or maybe my remote host is a defected one?

thanks.

no, the usernames are not machine specific - the password is application specific as it's encrypted or hashed based on the machinekey value in web.config, but if you're FTP'ing over the same files that's not an issue.
