I'm having a problem resetting user account passwords.

In DNN7 > User Accounts > Edit User Accounts, Manage Password, Send Password Reset Link.

Here is the email that gets sent:

Dear John Doe,

You have requested a Password Reminder from MySite.

Please login using the following information:

Website Address:

Username:   johndoe






 *Note: If you did not request a Password Reminder, please disregard this Message.


The password does not show for the user and the password reset link just points to the homepage.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

I think I know what happened.

When DNN changed to using a password reset link (rather than emailing the password in clear text), the token changed. If you'd changed the language entry, then it wouldn't have been overridden when you upgraded. 

To fix it, you want to find the password reset reminder text in your global resources file and change the password token to this:

Brad, please enter Language Editor in Admin > Languages, by clicking the pen in the language roster, column Host or Site.
File GlobalResources.resx will be displayed already on startup.
