I am simply trying to connect the database (in SqlExpress) to DNN site , windows authentication, but for some reason this string is not connecting:

the addkey parameter in web.config has the same set up.

would you mind to post your string again without trailing "<", thanks.
Please be aware that integrated security will use the ASP.Net user, which is configured in Advanced Settings of the IIS App Pool, you IIS Website resides in.

on the server in question, the Users and IIS_IUSRS have full control and modify permissions set to "Allow" , if that's what you mean.
