I am trying to make a responsive site using Text & Grids which is a Typography based framework.  It was quite easy to make the skin and it works well for the most part but I cannot figure some issues out.  First was the Control Bar for DNN inherited the color scheme and fonts of my skin so the control panel has become almost unusable.  So I moved some CSS from the ControlBar css into my Skin CSS and put !mportant beside them see the snipped below:

#ControlBar {
        height: 53px !important;
        padding-top: 10px !important;
}

etc etc....

So this made the control panel work but there are still elements I cannot fix. Is there not an easy way to have the control panel maintain its integrity?

The other pain point is the Move Module popup menu styling is bad.  I would like to post a picture to show, but not sure how to.  Essentially all the content panes show up in the menu in a very crowded list making it very difficult to move things around.

you shouldn't need !important, as skin.css is loaded after module css

I have to copy a bunch of the #ControlBar attributes from the ControlPanel.css file and put them in the skin.css file even though ControlBar.css is last to load.  And I have to set these to imprortant.  If I dont do this, the control panel loses integrity, improper height, black on black text, many other issues.  I am inspecting the code, but I am just not able to figure it out so I think there must be some fundamental thing I am missing.

Mike, this sounds like a typical bug, would you mind to report it on support.dnnsoftware.com to get fixed. Thank you!

I think you are supposed to wrap your skin parts in a div. Use the div to qualify your css.

That way your CSS can stay out of their parts.
