Does anyone have a method to prevent users from creating folders of the "database" type? I'd like to limit to "standard" and "secure."

Thanks!

nope, there isn't a configuration option available for that - you could delete the Database entry from the FolderMappings table but that would apply application wide

I'd replace the foldertype Icon by a scull Image ;)

Cathal,

I actually WANT to restrict this on all of our DNN sites (the database file gets large enough as-is that adding BLOBS to the database would really cause things to get out of control).

Deleting the Database folder type rows from the FolderMappings table causes errors in the File Management page. HOWEVER, I am able to change the folder provider for Database folders to simply use the Secure folder type.

(I've simply hidden the drop-down option on older versions of DNN and wasn't sure how I could do this in DNN7.)

Thanks, guys!
