I am NOT technically knowledgeable about DNN and related issues

I am running a website of about 680 webpages in DNN (version is about a year old) and also about 300 articles in the DNN Article add-on

The response time during editing is slowing down -- I am getting error messages from Firefox saying:

"Unresponsive script

"A script on this page  may be busy, or it may have stopped responding.  You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

"Script: http://eti-ministries.org/Resources/Shared/Scripts/jquery.minjs?cdf=16:2"

How do I speed things up?

My main database DNNETI is currently  25.5 GB and the DNNDatabase is 13.1 MB

Thank you for your assistance :)

Warm regards

Why do you have 2 databases? DNN uses only one. What kind of access do you have to the database (SQL Server Management Studio, Hosting tool, just DNN)?

Hi Sebastian

Thank you for your reply

I assume that the one database is for DNN and the other for the DNN Articles add on

The site is resident on a VPS so theoretically I have full access but I do NOT have the knowledge to do anything

I either need guidance as to exactly what to do, or get the hosting company, Arvixe, to do it for me or pay someone to do it for me depending on what is required

Warm regards

James, I am pretty sure that the articles are stored in DNN database - 13 MB sounds like an empty database.
25 GB is unusually large. Are you able to run SQL Server Management Studio on the server or locally against your SQL server?

Thank you Sebastian, that is most helpful :)

I have remote desktop access to the server but I know absolutely nothing about SQL server

It seems I should ask Arvixe to have a look at the database but not entirely sure what I should ask them to do

What do you recommend?

Thank you so much for your help :)

Warm regards
