We did a clean install of DNN Platform 7.03.00 yesterday. No errors, all setup steps appeared to go normally. I created a new user and added the Administrator role. When logged in using this (or any account) in the Admin Role, I have the following issues:

HTML module, Edit Content, Image Manager. Dialog opens but nothing works, no folders shown, + Upload icon is there but not linked. No errors are displayed. If you log in as the Host account, this works fine.

Stay logged in as Host, go to Admin / File Management. Right click on the Root folder, select View Folder Properties, dialog opens (Root Folder Info), switch to permissions - this looks correct, Admin Role has padlock in Browse, Open, and Write columns. So I click Copy Permissions to Subfolders and I get the follow error in red: "dnn Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint PK_FolderPermission Cannot insert duplicate key in object dbo.FolderPermission The duplicate key value is (73)."

If I create a new folder, that works. So then I click on the new folder, display refreshes okay. Still logged in as Host, right click on new, empty folder, select View Folder Properties and repeat the steps above, I get the same error with a higher duplicate key value.

Based on the above info, does anyone have a sense of what might be wrong with this install? I searched and could not find anyone else reporting this as a bug. So maybe my instance is just corrupted or got messed up?

Suggestions or questions appreciated! Thanks - Jeremy

Hey Jeremy,

The first thing I'd do is install 7.3.1 which was released today. Then see if your'e still having problems.

Cheers,
Kelly

Jeremy,
Update (Apply?) the settings on the root folder. This should restore the permissions on that folder.

@Mike, I had applied and re-applied permissions (NTFS) from the root on down and that did not fix the problem.

I installed 7.03.01 and I am not longer able to reproduce the issue(s). Thanks - Jeremy
