I know there's a smart way to deal with nulls on binding to a datalist but I've apparently forgotten that skill. This situation is a have lists of objects bound to a datalist, and there's some integers that always show as -1 if they're null.

I've been googling, but I've found hasn't worked. Any hints?

I've  found through rigorous investigation that applying the nullable attribute to the correct fields in the correct objects works immensely better. Visual Studio was apparently unable to determine that I wanted to change the object that my form was actually using, as opposed to the object some other form was using. The other form is working great though.

Must be time to stop for today.
