I am supporting a website with 2 (or more) languages. The user can change between languages at any time. When a page is initialized as a result of being called with one or more parameters (?xxxx) there is a problem if the user changes language because the parameter is not kept. Does any one know of a way to either prevent a language change dynamically when a page is initialized or even an event that can be triggered when this happens? Is there a way of keeping the parameters when a page is changed as a result of switching to another language?

Hi Hans,

What version of DNN do you use ? In my website this isnt a problem. Do you use the language selector skinobject or is it a hardcode link ?

Am using dnn 7.2.1. The link are relative and made by a module i did not write. I give it the page to which control is to be passed and it adds the parameters expected by that page. Currently that module does not support any localization, but i may be able to influence them to do something. That's why i'm asking for some advise on how to approach this kind of issue.

Forgot to state that i'm using DNN standard localization. (their little flag skin objects)

the flag is just the language selector, which does not affect localization of Content. Did you enable DNN Language Specific Pages (LSP, aka DNN Content Localization) or are you using true multilingual modules?
