Hello everyone-

I am having a problem configuring my contact forms on my NEW DNN7 development site. I get the following message despite my SMTP settings being set up exactly the way I have 1,000 other times. I've never had this issue before and I am doing exactly the same steps. Any advice is appreciated.

"Bad sequence of commands. The server response was: This mail server requires authentication when attempting to send to a non-local e-mail address. Please check your mail client settings or contact your administrator to verify that the domain or address is defined for this server."

I tested the SMTP settings and got the green "email sent successfully" message and still my contact form spits out this message. you can view a screenshot of my configuration here-

Thanks in advance for any advice-

This needs configuration of your smtp server. When you are testing, you are probably testing with an address that is local to the smtp server, so it will allow that. Apparently, the smtp server requires extra authentication if you want to send to external addresses.
