Hello,

I want to use a sitemap which I have created manually. I uploaded and replaced this file manually to portals/{portalid}/sitemap.xml file.

But after a few hours, I can see it has again replaced with the DNN generated XML file.

How can I use my own custom XML sitemap file for this?

Appreciate your advises.

Thank You.

Why do you want to do this?

It seems to me that the whole point of a CMS is to automate the management of the pages. So I *WANT* an automatically generated site map because I don't want to manage it myself.

Thanks Richard,

There is a reason too. The automated sitemap has only 30 pages indexed and not including all blog pages and some inner pages thorough some modules like testimonials.. But I created a sitemap using a tool which gave me everything. There are 500 pages. So that is why I need this and SEO guy need this to use for the SEO stuff.

Please advice.

This does not sound a good approach. When there are new blog posts you will have to re-do this. You need a module that generates it from the site.

OTOH if the site is fully linked then there is no value in a site map anyway. I'm willing to be corrected but I don't see any value in the sitemap for SEO either.

Best wishes,
