I've got an odd problem where some of the pages on my production site are not appearing when the top menu links are clicked - only some of them. But they do work if, when I click on one of the top menu roots, causing the left side menu to appear - I can then access the page from there.

I've checked permissions, and verified the page settings are the same, yet a few pages still exhibit this behaviour. Does anyone have any ideas what's going on? I'm using 6.02.07.

hard to say without seeing the site - it could be something simple (such as having pages with show in menu unchecked and the side menu not checking this value), something minor (bad markup in the menu causing entries to fail to appear), or if it something that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, could indicate a misconfigured server in a webfarm or use of webgardens

check the links being called and catch the traffic between the browser and the server with a tool like fiddler or network tab in IE dev toolbar to analyse, what's going on and what's the difference between your menus.
