Good day,

FnL is one of the reasons I love DNN so much and it has served us very well. However, we recently expanded one of our FnL modules to have 100 columns (fields) in the data table. We have roughly 3,000 records in the table. With this combination, the page load times have become REALLY long (60 seconds or more for each search, save or page load).

Here is what's really weird. I enabled "Show No Records Until Search" and each page load still takes at least 45 seconds. When the page finishes loading, there are no records (as expected), but the load time is WAY slower than I expect for an empty data set. Even with paging enabled, the load time is the same.

We have another form and list module on another page with fewer fields and records, and it loads in 10 seconds or less, so we know the server/database is capable of much faster processing.

Is there any way we can speed up the page load times without reducing the number of columns/fields?

We are running FnL 6.0.4.

Any assistance is very much appreciated,
Robert

This is a question that has been asked before, but there is no real way around this as FnL is not really made to handle 3000 records.
