Hello

I want to use crystal report on dotnetnuke portal. I have created cristal report in simple asp page it is runing properly on aspx page.

But now i want to create module with crystal report in dotnetnuke portal. I have kept all the dlls in bin folder and did all the required setting on web.config of portal.

with all this below setting it is not showing crystal report with module.

<appSettings>
    <add key="CrystalImageCleaner-AutoStart" value="true" />
    <add key="CrystalImageCleaner-Sleep" value="60000" />
    <add key="CrystalImageCleaner-Age" value="120000" />
  </appSettings>

<compilation debug="true" targetFramework="4.0">
      <assemblies>
        <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304" />
        <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.Shared, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304" />
        <!--<add assembly="log4net, Version=1.2.11.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304" />-->
        <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.ReportSource, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304" />
    <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304" />
 <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.DataDefModel, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304"/>
        <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304" />
        <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ClientDoc, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304" />
      </assemblies>
    </compilation>

    <httpHandlers>
      <add verb="GET" path="CrystalImageHandler.aspx" type="CrystalDecisions.Web.CrystalImageHandler, CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304" />
    </httpHandlers>

<system.webServer>
    <handlers>
      <add name="CrystalImageHandler.aspx_GET" verb="GET" path="CrystalImageHandler.aspx" type="CrystalDecisions.Web.CrystalImageHandler, CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304" preCondition="integratedMode" />
    </handlers>
    <validation validateIntegratedModeConfiguration="false" />
  </system.webServer>

I have also tried all web config setting suggested in below link with all the above setting.

http://aspsnippets.com/Articles/Cryst...

but now it is showing this error in module.

A critical error has occurred. Unable to find the report in the manifest resources. Please build the project, and try again.

Please suggest , is it right way on which i am working or need to do anything else ??

Hello

It has been resolved by these steps

STEP 1 -
first need to copy crystal report folder which is on below path

C:\inetpub\wwwroot\aspnet_client\system_web\4_0_30319\crystalreportviewers13

to Root folder of our website where the web config of site is placed.

STEP 2 -
keep this script tag in header tag of our page
(=> pagesetting => advanceseting past below script in Page Header Tags: section)

<script language="javaScript" type="text/javascript" src="/crystalreportviewers13/js/crviewer/crv.js"></script>

STEP 3 -
set Build Action property of report to "Embedded Resource".

STEP 4 -

Copy all the crystal report dlls in bin folder of web site.

STEP 5 - Do all these setting in website's web config (place every tag on its right position).

<appSettings>
    <add key="CrystalImageCleaner-AutoStart" value="true" />
    <add key="CrystalImageCleaner-Sleep" value="60000" />
    <add key="CrystalImageCleaner-Age" value="120000" />
  </appSettings>

<compilation debug="true" targetFramework="4.0">
      <assemblies>
        <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304" />
        <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.Shared, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304" />
        <!--<add assembly="log4net, Version=1.2.11.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304" />-->
        <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.ReportSource, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304" />
    <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304" />
 <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.DataDefModel, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304"/>
        <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692FBEA5521E1304" />
        <add assembly="CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ClientDoc, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304" />
      </assemblies>
    </compilation>

    <httpHandlers>
      <add verb="GET" path="CrystalImageHandler.aspx" type="CrystalDecisions.Web.CrystalImageHandler, CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304" />
    </httpHandlers>

<system.webServer>
    <handlers>
      <add name="CrystalImageHandler.aspx_GET" verb="GET" path="CrystalImageHandler.aspx" type="CrystalDecisions.Web.CrystalImageHandler, CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=13.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304" preCondition="integratedMode" />

Hello:

 Thanks for all your advice:  Well done!!! Great explanation, I got the Crystal Report Working in the Module.

One thing that I can not explain is that the Module can not read the JavaScript when the User is Login.  Can you tell me why this could be happening?

 All my reports shows when the user is browsing the portal.  As soon as the user logs into the portal, he is not longer been able to see the report.  Any hints?

 Thanks in Advance,

 Pablo Arthur
