Hi Roger;

There are some new features in 6.1.1, but with limited controls. The "event summary" HTML/Text entry field is nice (I can think of some uses in my application), but does not appear on any of the views except event edit; nor is there a setting to display it. Is this going to be in a future version?

Also, there is a setting that references a "Day View", but there is no select button for a day view.   Is this also something in the works for future?

Thanks, Rigel

Hi Rigel,

There is a token for the new summary field [event:summary|length] so you can place it wherever you wish to use it, there is also another token [event:summarylabel] that will retrieve the value of TokenSummaryLabel from the relevant resource file, so it can be localised.

There is no button for Day View, it is used when you don't have event links displayed on month view ('Enable Month View Cell Events' is disabled) and there is more than one event on a day. It is a replica of List View, but shows the events for the selected day.

Cheers
Roger

Hi Roger;

That's Great!  I will experiment with using this in the email template settings.  (Email to selected enrolled users, email to role)

One thing that I have found is that the tokens [events:locationname] and [events:category], if used in an email template, will cause a new line.

eg. If category is "team meeting" and location is "team room", then the text with token replacement will be

There will be a

team meeting

in the

team room.

 Is there a way that the token text can just be in line with surrounding text?

Sorry for all the questions....

Rigel

Hi Rigel,

I can see no reason why LocationName is doing that, it should just insert the name you have entered on the location edit screen. For category, you should use CategoryName. If you use Category it will insert some other html to do some colour formatting - it inserts a div with a background and foreground colour style.

Can you post the template you are using, and I can test.

Cheers
Roger
