Hi guys, many thanks in advance for any help you can offer...

We're going through a rebrand, and as part of that we need to change our domain name from www.tsacademy.asia to www.mediapocketbook.com

I'm aware that I can add MPB as an alias in site settings, but also that this will create confusion for Google indexing.

effectively I want to create a permanent 301 redirect for all tsacademy and mediapocketbook variations all going to www.mediapocketbook.com.

what is the simplest way of doing this? Just at the DNS? Will this retain my rankings? Is there anything as need to change on the site? Anything I should look out for?

After this I'd like to use a URL rewrites to tidy up all the URLs to get rid of search unfriendly ones. Is it better to do this at the same time? What's the best rewrites to use?

I would create a second IIS web site for the old domain name and permanently redirect it to your new site.
