I am creating a DotNetNuke site on GoDaddy. I have successfully installed dnn onto GoDaddy server and am in the process of creating a skin. When I try to parse a skin I get an error:

Could Not Load Skin: /Portals/_default/Skins/Dreamy/index.ascx, Error: Type 'ASP.admin_skins_user_ascx' does not have a public property named 'span'.

I don't have any span tag in my index.ascx file. However, when I try to parse the skin a span tag is added. How do I fix this?

Sorry if this is an easy question, this is my first DNN site. Thanks for the help.

That's most likely an HTML error in your skin.
Did you try to parse the skin on a local DNN installation?

Yes and it worked fine.

Did you try to upload a file through the file manager?
(as a test it's not write permission issue)

Yes. I tried removing <span class="linkseparator">|</span> from the html file and parse it again, but that I got an error saving no public property named LOGIN. Do I need the span?
