Have created a class to be used in the scheduler under the App_Code folder and am not having success using NavigateURL().  I am using the following right now, with no luck.  How can I make this work?

DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.NavigateURL(202, "version", "mid=612", "policy=" & x.Item("PolicyID"))

Thanks,

Bub

I know that this is a very old post but I just encounter the same issue.

Calling Dotnetnuke.Common.Globals.NavigateURL(tabId, controlKey, args) inside a scheduler always returns the following errror:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object., stack at DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.NavigateURL(Int32 TabID, Boolean IsSuperTab, PortalSettings settings, String ControlKey, String Language, String[] AdditionalParameters) ......

Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks,
v

Upon viewing the source code for NavigateURL function I notice that it gets the PortalSettings using PortalController.GetCurrentPortalSettings function which gets its data from HttpContext.Current.Items("PortalSettings") which we dont have if we are inside a Scheduled Task.

Good thing for us we have stored the portalId in our data.
