Hi all,

i know that if i put a file name app_offline.html inside a dotnetnuke folder i put every site off-line.
But i would like to know if there's a way to put offline a module and still have the capability of doeing some operation like file management or upload a new module.

Thanks in advance

I am not aware of such an option - since DNN and all modules are a common application you would need a deactivation option inside the module.

A slight alternative to putting the whole site offline (which of course makes it hard to upload a module) would be to use IIS to restrict access to only your IP address while you perform maintenance.  Obviously this will block everybody else and probably piss them off (and I'm not aware of a way to display a "friendly" message -- there may be one, but I haven't really looked deeply at it).

I've used the IP address trick at work when doing some HEAVY maintenance and didn't want anybody else in the company accessing the intranet at the time.

Probably not the best solution, but one I've found to work for me anyway.

you could redirect the domain easily (if you have any control of the server) or through some minor effort..

have you site ip in the portal aliases and access the site that way
