Session Survivor: Week 6

After six weeks of voting we are down to just a handful of speakers remaining in the running for the final two speaker slots at DotNetNuke World.  While I think all of the sessions would be great, we just didn’t have room to fit them all in.  Voting is definitely heating up, but now is not the time to stop.  Your votes will determine who’s session makes it to DNN World and who’s session is burned up in the summer sun.

Week 5 saw another strong contender voted off.  Charles Nurse’s session on Social Integration – Interacting with other Social Sites could not maintain the support of the community.  Given our focus on Social this year, I thought Charles’ session would make it a bit farther in the competition.  Of course, Charles does have another session at the conference where he’ll be discussing module development with KnockoutJS.  As the lead developers on the DotNetNuke project for many years Charles has a very intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the platform.  If you have a DotNetNuke challenge, he probably has the solution and DotNetNuke World is a great venue for getting your questions answered by an expert.

This week we had to say goodbye to another great community member. Chad Nash’s session on Module Development with new Social Components within DotNetNuke 6.2 did not survive the cut.  Like most of the speakers in session survivor, Chad will have another session at DNN World: Module Development with DotNetNuke 6.2 Services Framework.  This is definitely a must see session.  And if you want some tips on how to make money selling modules in the DotNetNuke Store, then Chad is the guy to talk to.  His company, DataSprings, is one of the leading store vendors year after year so he definitely knows a few things about building modules that people are willing to pay for.

With just six speakers left in the competition, voting is getting very tight.  Every vote counts, so don’t forget to vote every day and ensure that your favorite session makes it to DNN World.
