The latest Links module version 03.03.00 offers Administrators two new features, one to set the link to a view a User Profile and the other to display an icon beside each link.
The first new feature offes a new option when setting the Link Type. As well as the existing options which let the Administrator set a link to any external URL, or a Page or File within the portal, there is now a fourth option to set the link to User ( A Member Of Your Site ). Selecting this option gives the Administrator a text box into which they can enter the user's User Name. The User Profile will then be displayed when people click on that link. The Profile will typically include the user name, address, contact info, and preferences - although these field now be customized under the Admin > User Accounts page.
The other feature is a new Module Setting which allows the Administrator to select an icon which will be displayed beside each link. This is a nice little formatting edition.
I have however found a small bug that fails to display the image when logged out, and have added it to Gemini. If you find any more, please log them at http://support.dotnetnuke.us/ to keep us at it.
